Saturday 9th November - KO 2pm - Oxfordshire Senior League Premier Division - Adderbury Park 'v' Halse United First Team

The squad made the short journey over to Banbury to face Adderbury Park at Lucy Plackett Playing Fields. The pitch was far from being a carpet which wouldn't help the lads with their style of play.

Both sides observed 2 minutes silence before kick off.

Halse start very brightly seeing most of the ball and first chance comes on just 7 minutes when Halse get in down the right with Read, cuts it back to Gilsenan who steps over the ball for B Purnell to take his shot. Purnell miskicks and it rolls out for an Adderbury goal kick.
Then on 10 minutes out of nowhere Adderbury have the lead from a corner when Adderbury number 20 meets the ball first time to head home from close range.

Adderbury don't hold the lead for long when on 15 minutes Halse have a corner which is floated over the box to the opposite wing and Gilsenan whips the ball in, one touch from Read who slots it bottom left.

A early booking on 21 minutes for Adderbury for their goalkeeper kicking the ball away.
Adderbury then take the lead again on 28 minutes from another set piece. This time from the same side, a free kick whipped into the Halse box, through the box and straight into the Halse net.
Adderbury 2-1 Halse
Its Halse first booking on 37 minutes which goes Salvatore way for a late tackle on the Adderbury winger stopping the counter attack.
Just a minute later it's Salvatore again! Salvatore sprints 80 yards to get into the pass from Summers when he is released down the right and has most of the Adderbury half to run into, gets into the box, cuts it back to Salvatore who slots it home.

A double booking in extra time of first half for Adderbury number 16 for a late tackleon Simpson stopping the counter and the Halse skipper booked for the altercation for his reaction to the foul.
A scrappy and feisty first half with plenty to come on next 45.

We get back underway at 3.05pm.
It's the Italian Stallion again and it's an absolute rocket!
Gilsenan with another beautful free kick, floated to the far post and is thumped home from Salvatore on the volley.
Adderbury 2-3 Halse
Adderbury make their first substitution on 48 minutes with number 2 off and number 15 on.
Another chance for the black and white from a corner when the ball falls loose in the box, Mortimer flicks his shot towards the top corner of the Adderbury goal which is cleared off the line.
Substitution for Halse with Purnell making way for Williams.
Another substitution for Adderbury with number 13 off and 17 on.
Halse then increase their lead on 66 minutes from another set piece. Summers whips the ball into the box and Williams flicks the ball beautifully into the top right of the opponents net.

Then on 84 minutes the referee uses a sin bin for the Adderbury number 10 for constant back chat to the referee during the game.
